Amcor helps brands communicate packaging carbon footprint reductions through independent labelling from the Carbon Trust.
The ‘Reducing CO2 Packaging’ Label from the Carbon Trust can now be printed on Amcor packaging to demonstrate significant carbon footprint reductions. It’s part of our lifecycle assessment service, which enables brands and retailers to measure their packaging’s carbon footprint from raw materials through end-of-use.
Carbon labelling is a way to demonstrate that reduction to consumers.

Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation: Our experts at your side

The new Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR) is coming to the European Union, starting in 2025. The PPWR sets mandates for recyclability, minimum usage of post-consumer
recycled (PCR) plastic, and bans certain types of packaging. In addition, there will be
eco-modulated Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) fees based on recyclability. These
rules and targets apply to all packaged products sold in the EU.
